It’s time for another “Rode It! Loved It!” (reviews of established attractions that are exclusively for paid subscribers). This month we are heading to Six Flags Great Adventure to check out one of the park’s 15 roller coasters, El Toro. By the way, I’m going to be visiting the New Jersey park soon to experience Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa, its new luxury glamping accommodations inside its wild animal preserve. I’ll also be going to Fright Fest Extreme, and, of course, hopping aboard its rides. You’re not a paid subscriber you say? Kindly consider becoming one. 5 (out of 5)

I’m kinda stingy with my 5-star reviews. There are only a handful of rides and attractions which merit the accolades, in my opinion. El Toro is one of them.

A new breed of thrill machine when it debuted in 2006 at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, the exhilarating, adrenaline-pumping, airtime-filled, smooth-as-silk El Toro is among the best wood coasters on the planet–except I'm not sure it’s entirely correct to characterize it as a wood coaster (more on that later.) Whatever El Toro is (or is not), there’s no denying that it is an incredible achievement and a joyful rush to ride.
