My wife, who will now pass on Star Tours, loves this ride, has ridden it multiple times, and will keep riding it. She is good with the trackless vehicles and less screens. She also loves Railway which uses similar vehicles.

Why does she pass on Star Tours?

She has a hard time articulating why. But, she loves Monsters Unchained but can't ride Forbidden Journey anymore. And she loves Railway, but I don't think she wants to ride Ratatouille again. She can ride Spiderman and Transformers all day. She is also on the fence on riding Ministry of Magic again.

So, Star Tours and similar for her, I think it has to do with having to look at a screen too much and/or too close and staying in one place feeling caged in. You could argue that they all have screens, but out of all of these I have mentioned, Forbidden Journey and Ratatouille have the most, close screen time. In fact, Forbidden Journey never bothered me until riding it again last fall, and I had to close my eyes during the screens to feel better. This could be because in 2D the image is right in front of my face, but in 3D it seems far away. I am also a fan of VR and can be in a headset for long periods of time with no issues.

Interesting. Nothing really bothers me much (which is fortunate, since I cover parks and attractions!). But I am claustrophobic, and being run tight places, such as Mission Space can be tough.

Speaking of Mission Space, I did the Orange when it first opened and had no issues. When I tried it again 5 years ago, I felt my eyes snapping back and forth horizontally, so I have to do the Green now, which is still good in my opinion.
