I know us coaster nerds always want every new ride announcement to be the biggest, fastest, and tallest, but I actually don't mind seeing announcements like this that appeal to a slightly more family-friendly audience. I tend towards the optimistic side of things, and when I look at something like the Six Flags coaster I don't think "Oh no, not another shuttle coaster." I think, "Well that's a cool (pun intended) twist on shuttle coasters!"

I'm with Tom - the Wild Moose looks pretty cool. I'm not a huge fan of traditional Wild Mouse coasters because they always seem to be a bit rough, but the longer trains on this one may alleviate that issue. And with space at a premium everywhere, I always love to see concepts that find new ways to pack thrills into a smaller footprint.

Is it wrong that the most exciting bit of news for me here is the Wild Moose? I am genuinely excited and curious to experience this type of ride, and I hope there are a few parks who jump at the opportunity. Has Busch Gardens Tampa announced the replacement for Sand Serpent yet? Did RMC give them a lil’ heads up? I guess we’ll find out next season!
