This is what I love about Arthur's columns...They not only cover theme park rides, but everything related, including hotels and restaurants, written as only Arthur can! Always enjoyable and informative!
The construction pictures of those outside tiles make the hotels look striking; far prettier than you'd expect from a hotel with room rates like it does. I suspect they'll be hits.
The space theme is certainly an interesting take. I'm not opposed, I'm just curious how it fits in with the overall theme other than the obvious "universe" name.
I've never stayed at any of the Universal value hotels, but I've always heard good things. On our last couple of trips, we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel within walking distance to the Universal Studios park. Even though it's not an official Universal park, it offers some of the same park amenities such as early entrance.
I am absolutely 100% planning a trip to check out Epic Universe when it opens. Depending on other travel plans it could potentially get pushed to 2026, but either way I'd love to check these properties out.
