I'm honestly surprised they kept the racing theme, but the refreshed logos and area around the coaster looks nice. Do you remember when Mantis (Rougarou) was announced it was originally called Banshee? People threw a fit [at the time], and CP changed the name. Could we possibly see that with Top Thrill 2?!
As for the ride experience, thanks for giving an honest review that isn't completely negative. If this ride was installed at literally any other park in the world people would be gushing all over it. I, for one, am looking forward to climbing that top hat again in 2024

I’m with you - I think this will be an exciting, unique ride experience, and realistically the best we could expect given the ride’s past. But I think you’re too lenient on the name - this had to be the worst option they could have gone with. Everyone I know who saw this assumed it was placeholder. I can’t imagine how this name will look exciting on merchandise. I’m all for the ride, but not here for the name.
I hear you Tom. I did say the name was lame. And it really is. In Cedar Fair's defense, I suppose it wanted to capitalize on the name recognition of TTD. But surely a better name could have been devised that included some variation of or a nod to "Top Thrill Dragster." And you are right, "Top Thrill 2" sounds like the working code name for the project, not the final version.
