For this month’s “Rode It! Loved It!” review (which is exclusively for paid subscribers), we’re heading to one of my home parks, Six Flags New England. I’ll admit that there may be a wisp of hometown bias going on here, but I truly believe that Superman The Ride is among the best steel coaters on the planet (Earth and Krypton) and merits a 5 (out of 5) rating. Superman sits in the back of Six Flags New England, along the banks of the Connecticut River. Its imposing red-hued hill dominates the park’s skyline. Like a flame that lures moths, the coaster beckons riders even as it threatens to set their adrenaline ablaze and scare the kryptonite out of them. This ride of steel demands nerves of steel.
