Ready for another “Rode It! Loved It!” (my reviews of established attractions that are exclusively for paid subscribers)? Let’s sail over to Shanghai Disneyland and check out its take on Pirates of the Caribbean. It’s one of the rare attractions which I’ve rated a perfect 5 out of 5. If you aren’t a paid subscriber, kindly consider upgrading and joining the wonderful group of folks who support my work and get bonus features like “Rode It! Loved It!” Remember, there are no ads of any kind here at About Theme Parks, and paid subscriptions are my only source of income.

5 (out of 5)

When the original Pirates of the Caribbean debuted at Disneyland in California in 1967, the landmark ride was jaw-dropping and an instant hit. Decades later, it remains a beloved classic and still merits its "E-Ticket" status. In rare cases, sequels manage to outshine the originals (“The Godfather: Part II,” “Toy Story 3”). Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure is one of those rare cases. The tour-de-force follow-up is jaw-dropping in its own right and takes its place among the planet’s best rides.
