Super excited about this announcement. For some reason I had in my mind that whatever attraction they were going to put into the Ministry of Magic would be of a much smaller scale than what we have in the other two Potter lands, but happy to be proven wrong. This sounds amazing.
And while I'm not a particular fan of the Fantastic Beasts series, I love that they went with that theme and tied all the current content together. Before this announcement, this land was a bit of an afterthought for me. But now it's probably #2 behind the Universal Monster land for my most anticipated.
Harry Potter is not my jam (Star Wars is), but I appreciate the lands and details at Universal. We liked the first Fantastic Beasts movie, and then the following two movies didn't excite us. I am hoping that the Battle of the Ministry of Magic attraction is a mix of Rise of the Resistance and Forbidden Journey.
It just occurred to me - I get that the floo network is moving you from Paris to the Ministry of Magic in England. But, isn't this Paris in the 1920's and the Ministry of Magic attraction has Harry and his friends. Do you move through time too? Or did I miss read something?
Not sure if you misread or just missed what I wrote: "...guests will be able to enter fanciful fireplaces and magically trek from 1920s Paris to 1990s-era London and the British Ministry of Magic." So yes, the Floo network enables passengers to travel through both space and time apparently.

Agreed with your #1, #2 assessment. (Although I'm really curious about the Donkey Kong boom coaster too.)
I wonder if French speakers are amused that non-French speakers are amused that the word for wand in French is baguette.
But, but…isn’t the French word for baguette also baguette?
Coincidence? I think not!
Wouldn’t it be great if the MoM wand shop sold wands that looked like baguettes?

Might be more like a mix of Spider-Man and Forbidden Journey.

Sorry, I did miss that! Thanks for keeping me honest!
😇
We love Harry Potter in my family but haven't gotten into the Fantastic Beasts series... is it time?
Maybe. Although the focus at the new land, at least in terms of the marquee attraction, will be on the original series.
